'An Overwhelming Comfort'

Unlike historical Apollo missions that featured isolated Christian readings, the Artemis II crew embraced a more diverse set of cultural and personal reflections, acknowledging global traditions like Ramadan and Passover alongside Christian milestones - An overwhelming comfort.

In April 2026, the crew flew around the moon on a historic mission. The spacecraft went behind the moon for roughly 40 to 60 minutes, causing a planned radio blackout. During this time, astronauts observed deep space radiation, impact flashes from micrometeorites, and rare planet alignments

The crew lost all contact with Earth, as the moon blocked their signals. During this quiet window, they reached a distance further from home than any previous human crew. Commander Reid Wiseman described the sun passing behind the moon to create an "otherworldly" eclipse with a bright halo.

'It would sound like this'

One of the first ideas that manifested itself, primarily because I knew that I wanted to use the sound of

the Doudouk. An ancient instrument deeply rooted

in the history and cultural identity of Armenia.

The instrument is designed to mimic the qualities

of the human voice - Mankind

In 2005, UNESCO proclaimed the Armenian duduk and its music as a Masterpiece of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Keir's interpretation is perfect.

that we have got to work together."

Religious hope is a guarantee. It means you wait with absolute trust because God promised it, making It a "done deal" in the mind of a believer. I wanted to compose a mood that was equally hopeful in spirit

and gesture. Kamilla's effort was sublime.

'Such A Majestic View Out Here'

Commander Reid and the rest of the crew's

response, to the galaxy, as the spacecraft traveled

a maximum distance of 252,756 miles above earth. An unbelievably breathtaking celebration of the galaxy's celestial wonderment, and how it's

beauty came to be. A combination of love, religion, spirituality, wrapped in scientific splendour.

I wanted to compose a piece, that

made references to all of the above emotions.

Beyond the technology, the mystery of 'Love'

became a most poignant closing by

the Commander

'Enthused'

This truly collaborative piece started as a LIVE improvised drumming session. A fusion of Arabic

and Indian rhythms. Onto this, a tempered sonic soundscape was introduced.

This most spontaneous collaboration was both

an Interesting and fun piece to complete.

It's unpredictability made for its uniqueness and openness - Like a spirited crew !

If we would allow ourselves to believe, the Artemis 2 mission could remind us of just what a beautiful world we do have and our responsibilities within.-

In his song '"Natural Mystic", Bob Marley spoke of a universal spiritual energy that flows through nature and reality, urging people to wake up to deep truths and ongoing human suffering.
