'Dīpāvalī (दीपावली).' - Extended 2024 Mix
Music : On this track, Sebastian is joined by the ethereal vocal talents of Kirithika Dayananthan, the melancholic flute of Shivraj Sharma and the explosive 'Chaal' (છાલ) rhythm is performed by the outrageously talented Talisha Bharadia on dhol drums.
Video : This music composed by Sebastian originally for a Sainsbury's Diwali campaign, has received a 24' remix. This is a poignant message of PEACE & LOVE for us all.

'Duty Before Rights' : 'Mindfulness 24 Mix'
Music : This is a remix of the music video for the track Munus Prae Jure. This mindfulness mix delves a little further into the subtle sounds of the traditional Vietnamese and classical Western flutes played by the talented Shivraj Sharma. Sebastian's additional ambient percussion and keyboards, alongside sparsely placed sonics is opened up further to add to this poignant piece

'V.G.I.B' : Transformational Program
Music : I really enjoyed composing this piece, with its many references to psychedelia ' Pink Floyd' , ambient jazz etc. It was a very spontaneous recording. I played and multi-tracked all of the instruments and sounds on this piece. Especially pleased with the 'Fretless Bass' , Soprano & Alto Saxophone keys.
The video visualises a theme of 'the recovery of one's mind', the subconscious self and the 'overcoming inner demons'

Greta : 'Can you Hear Me ?'
Music : Over the sound of strumming guitar keys, Debora Gracio Santos introduces distorted notes from a traditional Andean Quena flute. The notes weave within and around spoken extracts from C.Sagan's poignant 1994 essay
'The Pale Blue Dot’’. Sagan's raw truths of the fragility of our planet amidst a greater universe adds to this sombre layered soundscape. The track also includes worldwide student chants from the 2019 climate change rallies.

Fountain Hughes : 'Born into Slavery'
Music : This is one of the shortest pieces from the Moral Questions music project. Sebastian plays the piano in a 'southern' style, with the timbre voice of the former slave influencing the mood.
Editing this video was particularly testing. Using limited edits and sourced footage, I chose to feature the purple periwinkle - a flower seen as one of the most popular brought to the graves of the enslaved.

Grieve : 'The price we pay for love'
This composition brings to fruition a journey of healing -
'Meditation in the Word.' a quote born from a spirited conversation that Sadia and I had with a VI form student.
In the track, Sadia repeats this quote with poignancy.
Music: Musician Keir Crawley provides subtle keyboard (Strings), to an extensive multi-layered soundscape that I had prepared and recorded over time. Notably, the piano was played LIVE, first take.

Franklin (C.Schulz) : 'The Letter'
Soon after the death of MLK: Elementary teacher Harriet Glickman, wrote a letter to the cartoonist Charles Schulz.
She invited the artist to introduce Franklin, an African American character, into the Peanuts books.
Music: This jazz infused track takes its origins from several sources. Flautist, Shiv Sharma provides a quality cameo to a piece that also showcases the smooth vocal harmonies of Zalika Dale.

Ashes: "What use is there in Sadness" - Dalai Lama
Onboard an early morning boat, a loyal group of passengers carried the cremains of a mother: also a friend and cousin.
The single purpose, to fulfil 'a promise' with the ocean.
Music: The recording took place at Resident studios.
Amenah and Sebastian multitracked layers of assorted drums/percussion over a prepared rhythmic soundscape entitled 'the promise'.

Potential: A Meditation video performance
On location, at the sumptuous Oshwal Centre -
The video reflects the ambience and verve within the music itself. Here, 'Potential' is achieved on many creative levels simultaneously.
Music: This specially extended version - 3mins added, was to allow opportunity to use all of the footage from that swelteringly hot day. Dancer, Jesal Patel, truly became one with the enchanting grounds of this Jain Temple: (हिन्दी मे मीनिंग)
Filmed & Edited by Qaiser Azim.
The Music: I knew that I wanted to make another 'Meditation' video. This time, paying a respectful homage to a location that befits the tranquility and solemnity that is meditation itself. I was also very grateful that Jesal and Shiv were keen to work with me again. Before the pandemic, I met Jesal for lunch and I spoke to her about a piece of Indian inspired music that I had just finished - She loved it. This piece turned into the track 'Potential'. I was heavily influenced by the Indian composers/musicians Hari Prasad Chaurasia; 'Eternity' and A.R.Rahman; 'Earth 1947' soundtrack. Initially, I had hoped to work on developing the track further, through working with a small ensemble of south asian percussionists - Unfortunately, the global pandemic saw an end to that collaboration idea - Maybe next time. Subsequently, apart from Shiv's inspirited flute playing at the end of this 8 mins piece, I play all of the instruments on this recording. Vocalist, Kirithika Dayananthan provided some soothing raga (pronounced RAH-guh) inspiration to accompany my sparce vocal harmonies.
The Location: The Oshwal centre is a stunning location, and is also my neighbour. I was grateful and humbled that they allowed us to film on their grounds. As usual, video maker, Qaiser has done an excellent job capturing Jesal's intuitive dance to create a sublime sense of transient meditation within the sumptuous 70 acres grounds.
I am very pleased with the final video, and equally proud of my music. I continue to be grateful to all those who trust and support me....Infinite potential indeed.
Buddha-Nature: A Meditation video performance
I wanted a debut video that had a sense of UK Indie. In particular, I was looking for something like Ivo Watts-Russell's 'Songs to the Siren' video by the Cocteau Twins.
Jesal would provide inspired and spontaneous movements.
Music: On a warm August afternoon, Shiv, Amenah with dancer Jesal met up to improvise ideas to a prepared backing track that I had produced entitled 'Buddha-Nature'.
Filmed & Edited by Qaiser Azim
Jesal Patel: Inspired and dynamic movement.
Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo is a Buddhist. She is an author, teacher and founder of the Dongyu Gatsal Ling Nunnery in Himachal Pradesh, India. A while back, I came across a few of her Youtube videos, and found inspiration with her thoughts on the idea of potential. Jetsunma is a bhikṣuṇī in the Drukpa Lineage of the Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism.
"We are always given the message that our potential is limited, which is so sad.
Actually, our potential is infinite"
The term "Buddha-nature" (佛性) refers to what is essential in the human being. Meditation quietens the mind and goes beyond ordinary thought.
